Diversity of landscape
On this route we will see mountains, lakes, waterfalls, powerful clean rivers, an abundance of wild animals and many other wonders. On the way we will swim in Lake Alakol.

Guest house
Cozy guest houses. The house has a toilet, water, a bathhouse to wash after long trips. Home-cooked food in the national style.

Hotel
In the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk we will live in a hotel. In the evening we will walk around the city, buy the necessary products, and if desired, go to a cafe.

Overnight in tents
And sometimes we will go to the hotel million stars - tents. Magical sunsets and sunrises in good weather. In the evening, arrange conversations about the sublime and camp romance in a cool company of people.

Trekking
Our trip will include beautiful trekking in picturesque places. Depending on the preparation and weather, it will depend on where we go. For people who do not want or cannot walk, you can rent horses (*not everywhere).

Almaty – Alakol
Day 1. Almaty – Alakol. On this day we will travel from Almaty to Lake Alakol. We will pitch tents on the shore of Alakol, swim and watch the incredibly beautiful sunset in good weather. If there are places in guest houses, then overnight and meals in them. In the hot season, there is a shortage of places.
Alakol – Ust-Kamenogorsk
Day 2. Alakol - Ust-Kamenogorsk. On this day, we will move to the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. In the evening, we will walk around the city, buy the necessary products for the trip. We will live in a hotel (simple).
Ust-Kamenogorsk – Katon – Karagay
Day 3. Ust-Kamenogorsk - Katon - Karagay. From this day on, the active part of the journey begins, we head to the Kazakh Altai, driving along mountain roads with picturesque passes. The road on this day will begin to immerse us in a state of relaxation and the beauty of nature. We will drive through fields of sunflowers stretching to the horizon, we will certainly stop for photos in all the picturesque places. At such a leisurely pace, we will get to Katon-Karagay, where we will spend the night in a guest house. Throughout the route, we will be delighted by changing pictures of landscapes.
Katon – Karagay – Sarymsakty Gorge – Katon – Karagay
Day 4. Katon - Karagay - Sarymsakty Gorge - Katon - Karagay. The day has come to take a break from long car journeys and spend time hiking in the mountains. On this day, we go to the Sarymsakty Gorge, where we will visit a waterfall and lakes (depending on the fitness of the group), and as an additional option we can hire horses to cover a longer distance and see more lakes. The Sarymsakty Gorge is very picturesque and will please lovers of wild nature, giving the opportunity to fill up with energy and pleasant fatigue after the hike. Until the evening we walk and stay in the mountains, after which we return to the guest house in Katon-Karagay (we can spend the night in the gorge in tents - if desired). *If desired, you can order horses for a walk in the mountains. Paid separately and must be agreed in advance.
Katon - Karagay - Berel Kurgans - Rakhmanovskie springs
Day 5. Katon - Karagay - Berel Kurgans - Rakhmanovskie Klyuchi. Today we will visit a museum and a burial mound, learn the history of these lands. After that we will go along the most beautiful road to the famous Rakhmanovskoye Lake. If we are lucky with the weather, then right from the road we will see the beauty Belukha (the highest point of Altai). Having reached the Lake, we will walk around and plunge into the hot springs. The place has the strongest energy, it is not for nothing that the sanatorium is located here.
Uryl - Lake Yazevoe
Day 6. Uryl - Yazevoye Lake. Today we are heading to Yazevoye Lake. A short but difficult mountain road awaits us. On the way, we will stop and look at the powerful Yazovy waterfall. Upon arrival, we will set up camp in tents or stay in wooden guest houses. This day will be dedicated to rest and contemplation, because the beauty there is incredible. In good weather, you can see Mount Belukha, and the water in the lake is warm enough for swimming or fishing. There is no desire to rush anywhere, just sit on a bench and admire the panorama of the mountains and the silence around. *You can order a bathhouse (recommended).
Lake Yazevoe – Old Austrian Road – Lake Markakol
Day 7. Lake Yazevoye - Old Austrian Road - Lake Markakol. This day we will have a rather difficult journey along bad mountain roads, but this will greatly increase the beauty around us. Today we will drive along the famous Old Austrian Road, the views from which will give you breathtaking panoramas. All the way we will enjoy the splendor of the Altai nature, and in the evening we will arrive at Lake Markakol, where we will spend the night in a guest house, and in the evening we will enjoy the magnificent sunset, which often pleases the eyes of travelers there.
Lake Markakol – Kiin-Kerish – Ust-Kamenogorsk
Day 8. Lake Markakol – Kiin-Kerish – Ust-Kamenogorsk. We are slowly moving towards the city, but today we are still waiting for the fantastic Martian landscapes of Kiin-Kerish, we will stop here and take a walk, enjoying the best artist – nature, which created these bizarre shapes and colors. After that we go to the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk.
Ust-Kamenogorsk-Alakol
Day 9. Ust-Kamenogorsk-Alakol. Long drive to Lake Alakol. Check-in at a guest house or in tents on the beach. Swimming, rest.
Alakol – Almaty
Day 10. Alakol – Almaty. Return to Almaty.

- 8 – 10 h. Transfer from Almaty to Lake Alakol (lunch on the way in a cafe) Evening arrival. Dinner, rest, free time, swimming, sleep.

- 1 hour (8:00-9:00) Breakfast, packing up camp.
- 7-8 hours (9:00-17:00) Main transfer with stops for photos and videos, lunch in a cafe. Check-in at the hotel. Free time, walk around the city.
- 3 day
- 1 hour (8:00 – 9:00) Breakfast, check-out from the hotel.
- 7-8 hours (9:00 – 17:00) Transfer to Katon-Karagay, stopping for lunch along the way and taking photos at all the picturesque places.
- 2 hours (17:00 – 19:00) Check-in at the guest house, dinner. Free time, rest (sauna), sleep.
- 4 day
- 1 hour (8:00 – 9:00) Breakfast at the guest house.
- 1 hour (9:00 – 10:00) Off-road travel to the camp site.
- 8 hours (10:00 – 18:00) Walking tour to the waterfall and the first lakes (lunch snacks during the hike).
- 1 hour (18.00 – 19:00) Return by car to Katon-Karagay.
- 3 hours (19.00 – 22:00) Dinner, free time, sleep.
- 5 day
- 1 hour (8:00-9:00) Breakfast.
- 1 hour (9:00-10:00) Transfer to the Museum and Berel burial mounds.
- 2 hours (10:00-12:00) Visit and excursion to the museum and the burial mound.
- 2 hours (12.00-14.00) Transfer to Rakhmanovskoye Lake, lunch in a cafe in the village on the way.
- 4 hours (14.00-18.00) Walk around the Sanatorium grounds and around the Lake. Bathing in hot springs.
- 2 hours (18.00-20.00) Return to Uryl (Katon-Karagay). Dinner and overnight in a guest house. *You can camp in tents below the Rakhmanovskie lakes.

- 1 hour (8:00-9:00) Breakfast, getting ready.
- 2 hours (9:00-11:00) Transfer to Lake Yazevoye. Setting up camp (checking into a guest house), rest, free time.
- 7 day
- 2 hours (8:00-10:00) Descent from Yazevoy, breakfast in the village.
- 8 hours (10:00-18:00) Travel along the old Austrian road, with stops for photos and lunch.
- 4 hours (18:00 -20:00) Arrival in Markakol, check-in at a guest house, dinner, free time, sleep.
- 8 day
- 1 hour (8:00-9:00) Breakfast, getting ready.
- 4 hours (9:00-13:00) Transfer to Kiin-Kerish.
- 1 hour (13:00-14:00) Walk around Kiin-Kerish.
- 2 hours (14.00-16.00) Transfer to the ferry, lunch in a cafe on the way.
- 1 hour (16.00-17.00) Ferry crossing.
- 3 hours (17.00-20.00) Transfer to Ust-Kamenogorsk. Check-in at the hotel, free time, sleep. *In 2025, the automobile bridge across the Bukhtarma Reservoir should be operational. In this case, the ferry is cancelled and more time remains. We will stop on the way for 1-2 hours at the Sibinsky Lakes.
