Almaty – TOO-Ashuu Pass – Suusamyr Valley – Chychkan Gorge – Toktogul Reservoir – Naryn River – Arslanbob – Sary-Chelek (Karakamysh) – Almaty.
Day 1
Almaty – Too Pass – Ashuu – Suusamyr – Chychkan – Toktogul Reservoir (580 km).
Day 2
Toktogul - Karakul - Naryn River - Arslanbob (250 km).
Day 3
Hiking to the Holy Stone (full day hike).
Day 4
Arslanbob - Sary-Chelek.
Day 5
Arkyt village - Lake Karakamysh - Toktogul reservoir - Toktogul.
Day 6
Toktogul – Chychkan – Suusamyr – TOO-Ashuu pass – Border – Almaty (580 km).
Trip Timing
- Day 1
- 4 hours (6:00 - 10:00). Transfer from Almaty to Kordai border.
- 1 hour (10:00 - 11:00). Border crossing.
- 3 hours (11:00 - 14:00). Too-Ashuu pass and tunnel.
- 1 hour (14:00 – 15:00) Lunch in a cafe.
- 3 hours (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM). On the stretch from Suusamyr to Toktogul, we stop for photos; the valleys and gorges are very beautiful.
- 1 hour (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM). Check-in at a hotel/guesthouse in Toktogul. Dinner, free time.
- Day 2
- 1 hour (8:00 - 9:00). Breakfast.
- 2 hours (9:00 - 11:00). The road along the Toktogul Reservoir and the Naryn River. Stops at the most beautiful places.
- 3 hours (11:00 - 14:00). Transfer to Arslanbob. Lunch on the way.
- 1 hour (14:00 - 15:00) Check-in at the guest house.
- 3 hours (15:00 - 18:00) Visit to the Walnut Grove, waterfalls.
- 1 hour (18:00 - 19:00) Dinner at the guest house. Free time, rest.
- Day 3
- 1 hour (8:00 - 9:00). Breakfast.
- 8 hours (9:00 - 17:00). Hike to the holy stone. Lunchboxes to take with you.
- 1 hour (18:00 - 19:00) Dinner at the guest house. Free time, rest.
- Day 4
- 1 hour (8:00 - 9:00). Breakfast.
- 3 hours (9:00 - 12:00). Transfer from Arslanbob to Sary-Chelek National Park.
- 5 hours (12:00 - 17:00). Visiting the lakes. Hiking.
- 1 hour (17:00 - 18:00) Transfer to a guest house in the village of Arkyt.
- 1 hour (18:00 - 19:00) Dinner at the guest house. Free time, rest.
- Day 5
- 1 hour (8:00 - 9:00). Breakfast.
- 2 hours (9:00 - 11:00). Transfer to Lake Karakamysh.
- 2 hours (11:00 - 13:00). Visit to the lake.
- 2 hours (13:00 - 15:00) Return. Lunch at a cafe near the Naryn River.
- 2 hours (15:00 - 17:00) Transfer to Toktogul.
- 1 hour (17:00 - 18:00) Check-in at the guest house. Dinner. Free time, rest.
- Day 6
- 1 hour (7:00 - 8:00). Breakfast. Today we have a long drive to Almaty.
- 10-12 hours (8:00–18:00 or 20:00). Return to Almaty. Lunch and dinner at a cafe along the way.

What to take with you on a trip
*Not required! Recommended clothing if your trip includes trekking. However, even on regular trips, mountain clothing will be more comfortable. Otherwise, you can look at the list and get a rough idea of what you need to pack; you can substitute simpler items.

- Headwear. A cap and buff in the summer.
