What awaits you on this trip

Unique lakes
An exciting adventure through the high-mountain lakes of Kyrgyzstan awaits us in this exciting jeep tour. We will visit one of the most beautiful lakes in the Kyrgyz Republic - Kel-Suu, and also see the no less unique Sonkol Lake.

Overnight in yurts
We will live in cozy yurts, where they cook delicious national cuisine. And they will also give us the opportunity to sleep comfortably and warmly, because they are heated, and at night there are frosts even in the middle of summer.

Boat or kayak trip
We also have the opportunity to sail on the Kel-Suu lake on boats with locals who offer this service. Or we can take a kayak with us and in good windless weather, sail on the lake.

Naryn – Kok-Kiya River Valley – Lake Kel-Suu
Day 2: Hike to Lake Kel-Suu and back (horseback is possible). You can go boating or kayaking. A little about the lake. Lake Kel-Suu (Kol-Tetiri) is located in the Kok-Kiya River valley in the southeastern part of the Naryn region. The lake is of glacial origin, sandwiched between high monolithic rocks. It is considered one of the most beautiful in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, because it is unique in its own way. It is located at an altitude of 3,500 m above sea level and changes its colors depending on the season and lighting. Kel-Suu means receding water in Russian. The climate here is quite harsh, even in the warm season it can be cold, and the weather changes quite quickly. The valley itself leading to the lake is incredibly picturesque. The valley is guarded by high pointed peaks, and herds of colorful yaks and horses graze on the green lawn along the river. There are also national yurts in the valley, where we will live and taste delicious national cuisine. They will also give us the opportunity to sleep comfortably and warmly, because they are heated, and there are frosts at night even in the middle of summer. The lake is large and only a small part is visible from the shore, you can order an excursion on a boat and see its distant shores.
Yurt camp - Naryn - Lake Sonkol
Day 3. Visit to Lake Sonkol. Lake Sonkol is located at an altitude of 3000 m. This lake is quite large and is second in size only to Issyk-Kul. The lake is fresh and quite deep - the maximum depth of the lake is 14 meters. The lake is surrounded by low hills, cattle graze, and there are yurt camps nearby, which makes this place picturesque. A beautiful mountain pass leads to the lake. There are 4 of them, and each is interesting and unique in its own way. Here you can meet many foreign cyclists storming these magnificent passes. You can go kayaking in good weather.
Lake Sonkol – Orto-Tokoy reservoir – Boom gorge – Almaty
Day 4. The final day of the trip. We will drive through the beautiful Orto-Tokoy reservoir and Boom gorge, and then return home to Almaty.
