On the rocks of Tamgaly-Tas there are ancient petroglyphs, which scientists date back to about five centuries ago. There are many drawings on the rocks made by unknown ancient master carvers. All of them, of course, carry some meaning, laid down by the authors of this creation for future generations. The most prominent drawings against the general background are the images of the Buddha of Boundless Light Amitabha, Buddha Shakyamuni and the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion Avalokiteshvara. Tamgaly-Tas is shrouded in many stories and legends, the reliability of which has not been established. This mystery attracts a large flow of tourists to this place. People want to touch the secret, history and feel the spirit of the times.
Those who seek antiquity and adventure will love the written rocks. These rocks are located in a beautiful place, on the banks of the grand Ili River, which adds to the visual component of this place. Many assume that this place has a special energy, because petroglyphs are left in places of "power".
Our program will be as follows. First, we will go to Tamgaly-Tas. We will study all the petroglyphs and enjoy the beautiful landscapes around. We will walk along the Ili River and take pictures. We will probably see rock climbers, because this is their favorite place. The local rocks are ideal for honing the skills of rock climbers, who devote every weekend to training. There are many routes of varying difficulty. After that, we will have a picnic on the river bank and have a hearty lunch. After lunch, we will go back and stop by car on the other side of the Ili River to see the famous "Ancient City", which was created in 2004 for the filming of the historical film Nomad.
