Assy Plateau
The Assy Plateau, located at an altitude of approximately 2,600-2,800 meters, stretches for tens of kilometers among the ridges of the Trans-Ili Alatau. In summer, it transforms into a vast, green valley covered with alpine grasses, flowers, and fast-flowing streams. Pastures, nomadic yurts, grazing horses and sheep are common here, and the place lives in the traditional rhythm of the zhailyau (peasant life). The air is clean and clear, and the weather changes quickly—sunshine can give way to fog or a mountain wind in a matter of minutes.

Observatory
The Assy Observatory is located at an altitude of approximately 2,700 meters and appears as a large silver dome standing amidst a vast mountainous expanse. Thanks to clean air, minimal light pollution, and a stable climate, it boasts one of the best astronomical "weather regimes" in Kazakhstan. At night, the sky becomes especially deep and rich: the stars are brightly visible, and the Milky Way stretches across the sky.

Karakyz Peak 3455m
The summit is located near the Asy Plateau, an area where, in the warmer months, you can witness the authentic life of nomads. An astronomical observatory is also located here. From here, we begin our route south along a dirt road that gradually gains altitude. We follow the trail to the Issyk-Asu Pass. From the peak, views open up of the Asy Plateau, the Turgen River Valley, the Zhinishke Valley, the Ashykdala tract, and the southern ridge of the Kungey Alatau, behind which lies Lake Issyk-Kul.

For some, it will just be a jeep tour
This tour takes you through the beautiful Zhailau Mountains. If you're unprepared or unwilling to climb Karakyz Peak, you can stay at the camp we'll set up nearby and simply stroll around the colorful carpets, take photos, and enjoy tea or coffee.

Hiking
We're hiking to Karakyz Peak (optional). The trail leads through meadows and ridges, the air is fresh, and beautiful views unfold with every step. At the summit, there's a 360-degree panorama, clouds beneath your feet, and a feeling of freedom and power. In terms of diversity of views, this is one of the best routes. The descent follows the same route as the ascent.

Team
Our team is a group of like-minded individuals united by a love of the mountains, wildlife, and new discoveries. We value comfort and safety, support each other in any adventure, and make every trip a vibrant, unforgettable experience.
